Movebot allows you to Migrate from a Windows file server through a simple agent that can be deployed on Microsoft Windows. Multiple servers can be configured to a single project by reusing the token.
Configuring the Agent Connection
If you are migrating from a Windows File Server, select your Source cloud platform from the dropdown provided, in this case, it would be Microsoft Windows/Apple OSX.
Download the latest installer package couchdrop-cloud-connector-installer.msi and run it.
The installer will install two applications under Program Files\Couchdrop Cloud Connector. Once installed, launch the couchdrop-cloud-connector.exe application from the desktop shortcut, or from the Program Files\Couchdrop Cloud Connector directory shown below in the screenshot.
Copy the token from the Movebot or Couchdrop web interface into the "Enter Token" field and click "Update Configuration". After 30-40 seconds, the status will change.
Closing the configuration and status window will minimise the application to the system tray and can be reopened from the tray icon. Unless you install the Cloud Connector as a service, you will need to remain logged for the duration of the migration or transfer.
Selecting the server
Now your server will appear under Movebot and Couchdrop as the hostname specified. You can then drill-in, navigating the filesystem and select individual folders to migrate.
Troubleshooting the Connection
If you don't see the server listed in the Users/Drive selection, check that the agent status is Connected, verify that the token is correct and try restarting the agent. Also make sure that your content filter allows connections to *.movebot.io and *.couchdrop.io.
